LYUDMIL GEORGIEV

Graphic Artist | Sofia, Bulgaria

The Poet of Gardens – Gardens as Sanctuaries In the search for a poetic unity between graphic art and painting, emerge works that, I believe, would not leave indifferent even those among us who consider art to be mere rhetoric, a waste of time, or vanity.

SOME WORDS ABOUT

Lyudmil Georgiev is defined by the vitality of his graphic art. What distinguishes his work is that although the techniques are graphic, the image transcends beyond conventional boundaries. Georgiev masterfully plays with colors, often transforming his graphic prints into spectacular picturesque performances. He consistently challenges the technological limitations of graphics by experimenting with unexpected materials and bases—even working on broken car glass. His aspiration is to expand his presence on the international graphic scene, with recent appearances at prominent art fairs including SofiaArtFair, Thessaloniki Art Fair and FIG art fair in Bilbao.

In 2018, Georgiev established Grafikart, the first gallery dedicated exclusively to graphic arts in Bulgaria. For eight consecutive years, he has organized a national competition celebrating classical graphic techniques in cooperation with the Bulgarian Ministry of Culture.
